Fraudster in Spain Benidorm: Yurii Romanchuk
This web site is an information blog about a fraudster named Yurii Romanchuk. He was born on the 21th of March 1979. He lived in Doneck, then in Kiev, Warsaw, Salou, Benidorm, Finestrat. His last place of residence is Kiev was Drahomanova street 14, apartment 118, Ukraine. One of his last addresses in Spain was 03509 Finestrat, calle Berna 6, M, G-1, Provincia Alicante. I want to tell you how a person named Yurii Romanchuk whom I knew for more than two years turned out to be a fraudster.
The story began on the 6th of August 2017, when I was returning from my vacation from Spain with my daughter. Our flight number 870 Belavia Barcelona — Minsk was supposed to fly at 14.40, but due to a strike by airport employees in Barcelona, the flight was delayed. We were waiting for more than an hour inside a hot aircraft, with engines turned off, without ventilation and air conditioning. Yurii Romanchuk’s sitting place was situated next to us. He politely helped us to put things on the top shelf and let us take our places close to the window. We had a conversation during a flight.
His name was Yurii Romanchuk. He is a citizen of Ukraine. He lived in Spain, in Salou. He flew to Minsk for the hip replacement surgery. He said that he had a “broken” joint, after sports injury. Yes, it was clear that he had a problem with his leg. Sitting on the plane, I advised him what hotel is better to stay in until tomorrow, to get to the hospital faster in the next morning. He was operated next day. It was on the 8 th of August 2017. After the operation, I asked if he needed any help, because he was alone in Minsk. I visited him in the hospital. He was operated on in the 6th city clinical hospital in Minsk. He flew to Spain a week later.
We were in touch and talked to each other using Whatsapp, FB, Instagram during the period of time since 2017, 2018 — until May 2019. Callings, correspondence, congratulations with birthdays, New Year etc. According to him, he owned several apartments in Spain, which he offered for rent through booking.com. In general, I listened to this information. I was not interested in renting the apartments because I prefered to rent rooms in hotels before.
“An ordinary person, family, children,” I thought. And …. Humanly, of course, I was sorry that this happened to his leg.
I was going on vacation with my friend in October 2018 and I sent him a message if the weather will be hot enough to swim in October. He offered to help with an apartment in Alicante, where he moved by then. I agreed. I think at the same time we’ll talk, it will not be so boring for me and my friend.
We spent our holidays in Benidorm, it is not far from the place where he lived — Finestrat. His son flew to visit him and we spent a lot of time together. We walked around the town, the coast, visited a restaurants and interesting places, visited Barcelona together.
When you know someone for a long time, sometimes you lose vigilance. So it happened with me.
He called me in May 2019 and ask me about money. Then he talked to me several times to explain the different reasons why the money did not come back to my account. He was asking me if I had not still got the money from him. He even sent me a confirmation that he sent the money. After that he blocked me in Instagram, Whatsapp. He blocked the number of my mobile phone number. As you know, the money dissapeared together with him.
At first I thought that something wrong had happened to him… maybe he got into some kind of trouble. I called to his son to know what happened to his father. By this time, his son has already changed the phone number too. Then I wrote to his son Maksim Romanchuk in Instagram. His son Maxim Romanchuk, whom I knew personally, did not answer to me and he also blocked me. All of this, of course, was the evidence that Maxim Romanczuk, the adult 19-year-old son of Yurii Romanchuk, was informed about the tricks of his father. At that time, he lived illegally in Spain, he worked with Yurii Romanchuk, trying to stay in Spain for permanent residence.
I wrote to several friends of Maksim. One of them answered to me. It was clear that he was “covering” a friend. However, when I clarified about Yurii Romanchuk, then Max’s friend answered me: “Yurii Romanchuk is wanted by many people, you are not the first person who asked me about him.” I realized that everything was has happened was not not an accident. I am not the first, I am not the last.
After these events I decided to go to Spain to Alicante, where the fraudster Yurii Romanchuk lives. I decided to file a complaint to the police about fraud. I wrote to him that I am in Spain and intend to file a complaint to the police. I sent him a photo of the statement prepared for the police. After that he called me within 5 minutes. He pretended that nothing had happened. Said, “I was just joking. I sent the money. My account was blocked. ”Of course, he did not send the money. He talked to me with emotions from hysteria to threats: «Call the your bank, sort it out.» He was thinking that my vacation would come to the end and I would not have time to file a report to the police.
Now I understand that there were “bells” that I did not notice:

- Yurii Romanchuk changed several phone numbers during 2 years.
- He suddenly deleted his real profile with personal photos in 2017.
- Profile Yurii Romanchuk on Facebook, vk.com or Instagram no longer exists, but new accounts came as the replacement under a “different fake names and photos”.
- This man does not publish personal photos and avoid to be photographed being in the company of friends.
- A sudden change the countries, cities and apartments of residence (Ukraine: Donetsk, Kiev; Poland: Warsaw; Spain: Barcelona, Salou, Finestrat, Benidorm, Alicante) — within 2 years.
- Prefers to call you himself.
- In conversation exists the mentioning of use of gray schemes in the past or in the present, regarding taxes or something else. He offered to me to make fake cards of permanent resident of Bulgaria for easy moving to EU.
As you can see from the attached screenshorts Yurii Romanchuk deleted his real profile on Facebook in August 2017. Since 2018 to 2019 he created at least 5 fake accounts in different social networks such as FB, Instagram, vk.com (russian network «v kontakte»). He used fake names in all accounts, for example Mateusz Linski — searching for an apartment for rent in Alicante in 2018, Mateus Linski — for job search in Barcelona, Alicante as a company which makes a reconstructions in apartments and offices, commercial buildings, for private clients and companies. This profile was deleted in 2019 after the information about his fraud was published. Yuraba Ryneru — is a new fake account created in August 2019. From this account were made some publications about urgent searching job (part-time job) by this person. Location of searching was in Benidorm, Alicante, Finestrat. @yurabaryneru21, @saylor_papayas22 — are his new fake accounts created by scammer Yurii Romanchuk in 2019. Photos of these accounts are attached here. He changes and creates new accounts regularly. Pay attention! And please be careful!

Yurii Romanchuk gives different information to different people. It depends on the purpose.
As a rule, he says that he is the owner of apartments in Spain and the main type of his business is rental of apartments in Spain. What is false! He tells this to people in order to create the impression that he is a wealthy person at the first meeting. At the same time, we see from the advertising above that Yurii Romanchuk was looking for rent a cheap apartment in Alicante for his family. He has a wife named Natalia Romanchuk, a daughter Bogdana Romanchuk, a son Yegor Romanchuk and an adult son Maxim Romanchuk born on May 19, 2000 who lives separately.
Yurii Romanchuk also can tell you that he has a company which is specialized in construction business in Spain. Which is partly true. He works as a person who can suggest to you to make a reconstruction in your house, apartment or office in Barcelona, Alicante, Benidorm and Finestrat. Everyone who needs to repair the apartment in Spain can be a potential victim of this person. If you lose your vigilance and give him money in advance for the purchase of materials, you will never to see them back.
He also told me that when he moved from Kiev to Warsaw in 2015, he organized a small furniture production in Poland. This is also not true. The company exists formally. The company was registered at the leased address. When you buy the address only for the registration of company. It is the shortest way to get residence card as a permission for living in EU for citizens of 3rd countries.
When I found out that Yurii Romanchuk has financial problems due to a lack of work, I decided to help him. I offered my help in making a website for him, promotion (advertising) for free by email on the 29th of July 2019. I hoped he could as a master who can make repair of apartments in Benidorm to find quickly new customers and become a respectable person who will try to pay off his debts. He sent me his response on the 30th of July 2019. In response to my e-mail, he sent “Agreed” — after that he again disappeared for several months.
I share this information here for warning everyone who knows Yurii Romanchuk. Please be careful! Do not trust! He really arouses sympathy, gives the impression of a normal usual family man.
